Applicants will be required to meet the requirements of the George Crombie Trust, a registered charitable trust (Charity Number SC015407). Applicants should be able to demonstrate some element of need for the type of accommodation offered in order for the charitable objectives of the Charity to be discharged. Some examples of such need are financial grounds, on grounds that the accommodation is more suitable for the tenant than the tenant’s existing accommodation, or to enable to tenant to stay in their home due to age. To be eligible, applicants must be aged 60 or over (although joint tenants can have one tenant aged 55 or over) and be able provide a full disclosure of their current financial circumstances, which will be treated with on a confidential basis. The rent is assessed based on individual circumstances and is typically in the region of £600 per month. Housing Benefit can be received by the Trust. Please note that no care services are provided directly by the Trust and there is no designated storage space for mobility scooters or buggies due to safety regulations.
