We are two women and two men in our late twenties and thirties, looking for one more female housemate to complete our home in Cathays. One of the current housemates is moving on, and we would like to keep the house mixed and find someone sociable, friendly and good company who fits in well with us.

The available room is a large double bedroom, fully furnished with a desk, chair, double bed frame and mattress, wardrobe, bedside table and chest of drawers.

Rent is £420 per month. Water and council tax are paid directly to the landlord at £56 per tenant per month, and all other bills (gas, electricity and any TV or internet) are split between the five tenants, roughly £55 each per month. Including rent and bills, expect around £531 per month. The deposit is six weeks' rent, protected in the deposit protection scheme.

The house has an upstairs bathroom, a separate toilet room and a nice garden area with a table and chairs. Double glazing throughout and a new boiler fitted in February 2025.

The property is family owned and managed by a private landlord with 20 years' experience. There are no agency fees, and the landlord is a member of the Residential Landlords Association and Rent Smart Wales, and holds a Cardiff Council HMO licence.

We are looking for a clean, friendly and social professional who will take their share of chores and house responsibilities. No couples or pets are accepted. A previous or current landlord reference and proof of employment are required.

The house is off Crwys Road in Cathays, close to shops, restaurants and cafes, with buses into town at the end of the street and easy access to the A470 and M4. Free on-street parking is available outside, with two permits allocated to the house and one still available.
