Room to rent Russell Street, Cardiff

Description

The room is available now and the advert will be removed once it is taken. Viewings are only arranged for applicants who send the requested details: age range, profession, number of days working from home in a normal week, move-in date, estimated rental period, and whether they smoke or drink. Preferred tenants are single occupants in full-time employment who work away from home during standard working hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm). If central heating is needed during those hours, the rent will be adjusted to reflect the extra heating cost.

The flat is a well-maintained 2014 new build, fully equipped and situated on a quiet residential street about 15 minutes' walk from the city centre, Cardiff University, a Lidl supermarket and a surgery. Bus stops for routes 9, 44, 49, 57 and 58 are within a few minutes' walk, and Cathays station is 8 minutes away. Shops, a cafe, a barber, takeaways and restaurants are on the same street, and free parking spaces are 5 minutes away.

All bills are included: twice-weekly cleaning, council tax, Wi-Fi, TV licence, water, electricity and central heating.

The flat has a large living room with a smart TV, sofa and table, a kitchen with washing machine, induction hob, oven, air fryer, microwave and kettle, and a bathroom. The bedroom has a double bed, office desk and chair, wardrobe and chest of drawers; bedding is available on request.

The landlords are a professional man in his late 30s and a retired couple who still work. They ask for a deposit of one month's rent, monthly rent paid in advance and an employer reference. Viewings can start now, with the aim of reaching a decision during or shortly after the viewing.
