The housemates are considerate professionals, making it suitable for a professional or sensible/mature student. The house is located on the east side of Dumfries, a 5-minute walk from a supermarket, with a private yard for parking and a bus stop on the doorstep. It is about a 30-minute walk to the town centre. There is a lovely big garden and a secure wooden shed for storing bicycles, canoes, etc. A separate building offers games rooms with a pool table, table football, etc., and a room with some gym equipment. There is a large shared kitchen and sitting room, and a utility room with a washing machine and dryer. Visitors are welcome, but parties are not permitted as other residents are in employment or serious studies. Pets may be considered and welcomed if there are no issues for the pet or housemates. One tenant has a cat that sometimes enters the sitting room. References are required to ensure the house remains peaceful and tidy. The management team provides a 24-hour emergency call-out service and weekly cleaning of shared areas. Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors.
