A 5% Visitor Levy (tourist tax) set by Glasgow City Council will apply to stays from 25 January 2027 for bookings made on or after April 2026. This fee is set by the local authority and is not controlled by the host. Guests are required to complete an online verification process facilitated by Truvi, which involves providing a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. Guests can choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40. Pets are allowed, but smoking is not allowed.
