Feel at home in this tranquil three-bedroom retreat, offering elevated views across the creek. Please note that there are over 20 steps from the road level to the house, and some garden steps are steep and varied, which may not be suitable for those with walking difficulties. Young children should be supervised at all times.
This retreat features a spacious lounge with a log burner, comfortable sofas, and a cushioned window seat/daybed overlooking the creek, complete with binoculars. The dining room includes a six-person dining table. The well-equipped kitchen boasts a full oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, and a large fridge-freezer. A downstairs WC is also available. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a super-king bed and creek views, the second bedroom has two single beds that can be zipped together to form a super-king and opens onto a decked area, and the third bedroom has a single bed with river views.
Enjoy a five-person hot tub and extensive tiered gardens with a BBQ. Kayaks are available for guests to borrow. Private garage parking is provided for one car, with space for another on the drive. An untethered 7kW EV charger is available in the garage. Children and dogs are very welcome.
The lounge includes a sublime cushioned window seat/daybed overlooking the creek, perfect for a relaxing work-from-home set-up, and binoculars are provided.
Malpas is a small quiet village, and guests are asked to respect the local residents. Strictly no parties or events are allowed, and unnecessary noise should be kept to a minimum after 10pm. Any guests not adhering to this will be asked to leave the property.
Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the Cornish Riviera, this retreat is just a 10-minute drive to Truro's historic city centre. The village of Malpas offers an excellent pub, a farm shop, and a tearoom all within a 1-minute walk. Nearby Boscawen Park features a large adventure playground and tennis courts. Enjoy countryside walks and boat tours from the marina to Falmouth, Trelissick Gardens, or St. Mawes. The King Harry Ferry is 15 minutes away, providing access to the Roseland Peninsula. Truro town centre, with multiple supermarkets and an array of restaurants and bars, is 3 miles away. World-class attractions like The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are within a 30-minute drive, and golden sandy beaches are easily accessible.
