The house is in the quiet village of Chesterton, just a short drive from Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent, the Royal Stoke Hospital, and Keele University (all around 15 minutes away). It’s also in a fantastic location, with a Co-op, GP surgery, pharmacy, pubs, cafés and takeaways all within easy walking distance. Your Space: Spacious double bedroom with double bed, bedside tables and lamps, large chest of drawers, additional storage cubes, mirror and TV, pillows, duvet and bedding included. Your own private bathroom with an over-bath rainfall shower. You’ll also have your own fully furnished office, perfect if you work from home or simply want a separate space to study or relax. Shared Areas: The house is fully equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, gas oven and hob, air fryer, shared fridge-freezer, and dining area in the kitchen. Outside, there’s a well-maintained garden with seating and sun loungers. The Most Important Housemates… I share my home with two wonderful indoor cats, so finding someone who genuinely loves cats is essential. I’m looking for someone who is either already very cat-savvy or is happy to learn. Because they’re strictly indoor cats, it’s really important that windows and external doors aren’t left open, and that you’re mindful of everyday items and plants that can be harmful to cats. In return, you’ll receive unlimited purrs, cuddles and the occasional supervisory visit while you’re working from home. The Kind of Lodger I’m Looking For: I’m hoping to find a bit of a unicorn—a responsible, considerate adult who enjoys a calm home. Someone who is clean, tidy and respectful of shared spaces, communicates well and is considerate about guests, appreciates a peaceful household rather than a party house, and loves (or is excited to love) two affectionate feline housemates. This is very much an adult home. While it’s not a party house, I’d love to live with someone who’s friendly enough to enjoy the occasional chat over a cup of tea or a glass of wine.
