Feel at home in this charming country cottage located on a quiet lane in Chipping Norton, The Cotswolds, just a 15-minute drive to Soho Farmhouse. This semi-detached cottage features two double bedrooms and a spacious bathroom, with a steep, narrow staircase that is part of its historic charm but not suitable for children under 12 or those with mobility issues.
The open-plan kitchen-dining-living area boasts a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, induction hob, refrigerator, air fryer, and Nespresso coffee machine. The chic country-style dining area seats four guests, while the cozy living room offers a log fire, TV with Amazon Firestick, and comfortable seating. A small utility room houses a washing machine and dishwasher, and there is a downstairs WC. Both double bedrooms overlook the garden and countryside, and the master bedroom includes a double bed, books, wardrobe, chest of drawers, and dressing table. Bedroom 2 features a double bed and chest of drawers. The shared bathroom has a freestanding bath with an overhead shower (note: slightly reduced headroom in the shower), sink, and WC.
A small parking space is available directly in front of the property for one small/medium vehicle, with additional street parking at the top of the lane on Worcester Road, approximately 150m away. A small pack of logs and kindling is provided from October to March. Mid-stay cleans and/or linen changes can be organized on request for an additional charge.
The living room includes a TV with Amazon Firestick, and guests will need to provide their own streaming subscriptions.
Quiet hours are observed from 11 pm to 7 am, and guests are asked to keep noise to a minimum at all times. Smoking or vaping indoors is not permitted. Pets are strictly not allowed. Standard check-in is from 4 pm onwards and check-out is by 10 am; earlier check-in or later check-out may be available for an extra cost, subject to availability and prior arrangement. The Rayburn cooker is disconnected and for display purposes only. Occasional cobwebs may appear in this historic cottage. Bookings are subject to a verification process carried out by Truvi.
Enjoy countryside walks directly from your doorstep, with Chipping Norton center a 20-minute walk away. Soho Farmhouse is a 15-minute drive, Diddly Squat Farm Shop is 3 miles away, and Daylesford Organic is 5 miles. Bicester Village Designer Outlet, Blenheim Palace, and Woodstock are approximately 25 minutes away. The cottage is also well-located within the Cotswolds AONB, with the charming villages of Moreton-in-Marsh and Stow-on-the-Wold just 15 minutes away.
