A private double room is available rent-free in central London (W1) in exchange for part-time, live-in support duties. You will be joining a supportive household assisting a gentleman recovering from a stroke. Daytime support is fully managed by a full-time resident day carer and an established non-resident team of part-time carers. This role is ideal for a mature student or professional working standard daytime hours who wants quality, free accommodation in the heart of London. Key Responsibilities include a sleep-in presence 5 nights per week (10:00 PM – 8:00 AM) for house-sitting and emergency assistance, and 2 evenings per week (4:00 PM – 10:00 PM) for companionship and light support, including arranging and sharing dinner (expenses covered). Perks include free accommodation with no rent or utility bills, meals included on duty, and opportunities for occasional paid overtime. Comprehensive handover and full training are provided. The ideal candidate is calm, reliable, responsible, and proactive, and the environment is LGBTQ+ friendly. Suitable for someone with daytime commitments who is organised, communicative, and comfortable being on-site during overnight hours. References and a basic background/DBS check will be requested.
