We are an artist and record producer, an investigative journalist, a graphic designer and an assistant director in film and television, looking for someone to join our relaxed, sociable and curious house. We chat and catch up after work while respecting each other's independence. Housemates often travel for work, so there are usually only a couple at home.
The house has 3 bathrooms between 5 bedrooms. The shared living room doubles as a cinema room with a 1080p projector and speakers. The large open-plan kitchen and dining room has bifold doors opening onto the patio and garden, a six-burner Smeg range and full-height fridge and freezer. The kitchen is bespoke birch plywood with an oak parquet floor and underfloor heating. The house has 500Mb fibre internet with mesh WiFi and ethernet ports, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a tumble dryer and basement storage. The garden has a meadow lawn.
The house is on a quiet road of terraced houses in the Wells Way Triangle, close to Burgess Park and Camberwell high street, with restaurants, pubs and a cinema in Peckham and Camberwell within walking distance. The area has a strong neighbourly community, with a local greening group and an annual street party.
The owner lives in the house. A standard lodger agreement with a 6-month minimum term applies. Rent is £1,100 per month with a deposit of one month's rent. Bills average around £125 each per month and cover utilities and a cleaner who visits for three hours weekly to clean the communal areas. The room is available from 14 November.
