Hi! I’m looking for a lovely new person to share my flat in Brixton Hill, as my current flatmate is moving out to go and live with his partner. I’ve been living here for around six months and really love it — it’s a genuinely lovely flat in a brilliant location, and I’d love to find someone who’ll enjoy it as much as I do. The location is one of the best things about the flat. We’re around a 20-minute walk to Brixton station, or about 10 minutes by bus, with a bus stop literally a one-minute walk from the flat. So getting into central London is very easy, while still having a slightly more residential feel. The room is bright and lovely, with big windows that let in loads of natural light. It will come with a bed and bedside table. The flatmate moving out is taking their furniture from the shared spaces, so the living room and kitchen will be a bit of a blank canvas. I’m very happy for us to choose some new furniture together and make the shared space feel cosy and homely — so there’s a nice opportunity to make it our own. I’m friendly and sociable, but I also really value having my own space and privacy. I have an active social life, enjoy going out and doing things, and also travel fairly often for work. I work from home some days during the week. Ideally, I’d love to find someone who is: Clean and tidy, Considerate and respectful of shared spaces, A professional / working full-time, Friendly and sociable, but also independent, Happy to communicate about household stuff and make the flat feel like a nice home, LGBTQ+ friendly. The rent is £950 per month, with bills coming to approximately £200 per month. There is also parking available at the building, subject to the relevant permit/arrangement. My current flatmate has a parking space, so this is something we can discuss if you need it.
