Room to rent Ribblesdale Road, Greater London

Description

I am moving out of my room in our shared four-bedroom house in the quiet Furzedown neighbourhood, a few minutes from Tooting Common. The room is available from 1st December 2026 on a rolling basis. The house is about a 15-minute walk from Tooting Bec, Streatham and Streatham Common stations, with easy access into Central London and plenty of shops and cafes nearby.

My room is the second-largest double in the house, with a wardrobe, desk and cupboard space, plus extra storage outside the room. The shared spaces are the real value: a large ground-floor office/living room that fits several desks with additional storage, and a separate living and dining area off the kitchen that opens onto a lovely back garden with a communal table, barbecue and storage shed. All bedrooms are on the first floor, with three bathrooms shared between two people each. One bathroom houses a clothes dryer.

You would be sharing with two men and one woman, aged 24 to 29: two British housemates and one South African, working as a film composer, compliance officer and festival worker. Music and film are a big part of the house. Everyone is social and enjoys cooking, drinks and films, and is respectful of each other's work and space. Well suited to a graduate student or young professional, and to anyone working from home some of the time. Bills are shared at about £130 per month, including Council Tax Band E.
