Venture over the swing bridge to the East bank, known for its medieval streets, boutiques, pubs, and fish restaurants. Climb the 199 steps to St. Mary's Church or discover Whitby Abbey, the inspiration for Bram Stoker's 'Dracula'. The surrounding area offers woodland and moorland, making it part of the North York Moors National Park, ideal for long walks.
